Why are we closed: Dennis and Gillian are taking some time off having worked continuously for the past 21 years with almost no break. It's time for ourselves!

Based close to Chamonix and Annecy in France, we are a Paragliding Pilot-Development school, offering refresher, Introduction to Mountain Flying, Thermalling Tuition, Fly Guiding and important 'Wing Control Tuition' in one of the most spectacular settings in Europe!

* We work on a one-to-one basis or with a maximum of 3 pilots.

* Introduction to the high mountains and Rusty pilot refreshers.

* Ground Handling sessions, helping to perfect techniques relevant to thermal launch sites and strong winds!

* Pilot-Development and Progression training for qualified pilots wanting to development their skills.

* Refresher Coaching, and important 'Wing Control Tuition'.

* Thermalling Tuition and Fly guiding.

* Continued (BHPA) Pilot and Advanced level training.

We are surrounded by some of the best flying sites in France, and the beautiful seasonal weather provides an average of 24 flyable days a month from spring to autumn, suiting all standards of pilots.

The school owners, Dennis and Gillian, are both qualified paragliding instructors in France, and former experienced BHPA instructors of 32 years, with many 1000's of hours of flying and teaching in High Alpine regions since 1993.

They specialize in personal teaching, coaching and guiding all levels of pilots wanting to achieve more from their flying.

The Alpine Flying Centre is just one hour from Geneva Airport, it has a shop with mail order service and local hotel accommodation.
